Sit in back, fade to black, 24-hour diner chat
What else should we re-enact
Sewing up the costumes, pull it back, fix it later
A spike you thread with tissue-paper
Join what you thought you'd be with how you used to be
And hope it don't unwind
I hope I'm good at stitching glaciers
Split in two, followed through
You can take the long road from or to
You're not okay with it, swallowing olive pits
One 'aint gonna’ kill you
You’re holding on to parental warnings
You're stretched oblong from parental yearnings
Join what you thought you'd be with how you used to be
And hope it don't unwind
I hope I'm good at stitching glaciers
It feels so right again
It feels like splitting at the seams

What got me inspired back in my teens was punk, post punk and hardcore. I am from Washington, DC. Born and raised. Beautiful music burst out of my city. With a zealot's pride I embraced it. Dischord Records. Go Go music. So much jagged beauty and emotion. So much of my reality reflected back at me.
This has that specialness. Thanks to High Vis for existing and making this music. Michael Lenzi
